About the Author

Graham Moffat (1866–1951) was a multifaceted Scottish figure—actor, playwright, director, and spiritualist. He is perhaps best known for his play Bunty Pulls the Strings, which enjoyed success on Broadway in 1910. Beyond his theatrical endeavors, Moffat was an advocate for women’s suffrage, founding the Men’s League for Women’s Suffrage in Glasgow in 1907 after his wife, Maggie Moffat, was arrested during a protest in London.
