An attempt to bring philosophy down to the level of the average man, to make it a unable thing in every day life. All very well in theory, but the ideas are presented on so academic a plane that Mr. Average Man will never break the shell and get at the kernel. He analyzes his assumptions, his terms; he relates theory to behavior patterns, to science, to history, to social sciences. He attempts to rationalize a working philosophy with the contradictions of modern life. Unfortunately, there are only occasional points at which he breaks through to the level of the average reader, or makes it readable for the norm of the general public.
