Stanley Jackson, born on April 26, 1917, was a British painter and illustrator known for his work in oils and gouache. He studied at St Martin’s School of Art and exhibited at institutions such as the Royal Academy (RA), the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA), the United Artists (UA), and various provincial galleries. Jackson resided in Crawley Down, Sussex.

In addition to his artistic pursuits, Jackson was a member of the Royal Society of British Artists (R.B.A.) and the Association of Illustrators (A.I.A.). He was also affiliated with the Chartered Society of Designers (C.I.A.D.).

Jackson married Ruth Pearl, a professional musician who led the English String Quartet. The couple later emigrated to New Zealand, where Jackson continued his artistic career until his death in 1961.
