I love the way she manages to make the reader feel the wind, the waves, the pull of the ocean; the characters are almost if another time which is so real if isolated areas; the description of the landscape gives me a real mental picture

I was given this book as a small child in the 1950's. I am now in my 70's and want the pleasure of reading it to my Grandchildren. It will be a Christmas present from my daughter. So no peeking yet !
