George Denholm Armour, professionally known as G. D. Armour, was a Scottish-born painter, illustrator, and caricaturist whose life was inseparable from the equestrian and sporting world he so vividly captured. His academic formation in Scotland, travels in Morocco, contributions to leading periodicals like Punch, and his service during World War I paint a picture of a man deeply immersed in art, humor, and horsemanship.
