For the Smallest Person (A Prayer Book) By Cecily Hallack, illustrated by celebrated Austrian illustrator Ida Bohatta‑Morpurgo (her IBM monogram appears on each colour plate) Publisher: Burns Oates, London – circa 1931‑1934 original UK printing
✅ Confirmed: Complete set of colour plates – no missing plates & no tears to illustrations ✅ No inscriptions, no writing anywhere within the book
Condition notes: Red cloth spine with original pictorial front board; prominent creasing, cracking, staining and edge wear to both front & back covers consistent with its age. Interior pages remain intact, illustrations clean and unmarked.
This is the highly‑sought‑after companion volume to Having A Guardian Angel. These two tiny books are frequently searched for as a matching pair by Bohatta‑Morpurgo collectors. The soft, angel‑themed colour plates are classic examples of her belly‑loved inter‑war artwork.
