Rosa Luxemburg was a Polish-born Marxist theorist, philosopher, and revolutionary socialist. She was a key figure in the German revolutionary movement and a co-founder of the Spartacus League, which later became the German Communist Party. Luxemburg was known for her intellectual and political contributions to socialist theory, as well as for her activism and organizing efforts. She was imprisoned multiple times for her revolutionary activities and was eventually executed by the German government in 1919.
